Learning Support Technician – Engineering

Up to £22,585 per annum pro rata

18.5 hours per week

You will provide support to our students and Lecturers by assisting them in our workshops, making sure everyone has the necessary tools to equip them to teach and learn. You will give equipment demonstrations and offer guidance to the students on the practical elements of their course.

We are not necessarily looking for an experienced Technician but we do need colleagues experienced in the engineering field with a passion for passing on their knowledge and skills.

 

Full training will be given to the right candidate and to assist you, we offer mentorship, professional supervision, and a truly supportive peer network ready to assist you to achieve.

 

In this role you’ll:

Work with Lecturers to collate the equipment and activities for successful teaching,

Ensure all workshop equipment is up to date with the necessary safety checks carried out, and is fully stocked with equipment ready for the next lesson,   

Ensure Health and Safety is followed at all time by the students, and    

Be proactive and work with the Lecturers to ensure that lessons are engaging for the students.

 

In this role you’ll have:

Level 3 or above in Engineering Electronics/Control Robotics.

Level 2 English and Maths qualification (or the willingness to study for this as you work), and

Tons of recent and relevant industry experience.
