This includes personalising the curriculum, planning, managing and mentoring staff and teaching. This role is 0.5 remitted for management and course coordination with a 0.5 teaching commitment predominately supporting full time Automotive students on IMI, Level 2 and 3 study programmes.

Your Impact

• Oversee all elements of the department and act as line manager to facilitate great day to day running

• Take an active role ensuring quality standards are improved with assessment processes in place which are properly planned, managed and skilfully addressed

• Drive the department to deliver higher quality learning & teaching

• Lead and direct your staff to create new student focussed curriculum which is challenging, enriching and leading to high levels of positive progression

• Thrive on being responsible for supporting, monitoring and developing the performance staff.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience required:

  • PGCE, B.Ed. or Cert Ed.
  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in Automotive or Electrical
  • Teaching experience with evidence of high quality performance and innovation
  • Good knowledge of Ofsted, EIF and UK Quality Code for Higher Education
  • Experience of creating and delivering effective assessment programme
  • Great leadership and motivational skill
